So! Only a week late this time...wooo. And no real excuses, except for school work. Anyway, badness on my part aside, here's my part of the Jam topic - this time we were assigned fellow Jam members, and had to draw one or more of their characters, but in some way opposite to how they are. I got ! So here is her character, Elliot Blake ([link]).
He's supposed to be young and shy and sweet and smart, sooo, I decided to draw him a little bit older, and as sort of a smarmy ladies man I like his smirk...I seem to enjoy drawing profile smirks, it seems. I guess it's at night, or dawn, before/after various conquests? Gave a go at cell-shading, which has never been something I can get quite right...I like how it turned out on his head, but the rest is eh. A little simple, but I needed to get it up, I've had the lines done for a while, the colors were just giving me trouble.
OMG!! AHAH this is so cute and it is soooo the opposite of elliot. He looks so cocky and yet so precious !! You did a really nice job at shading his hair and I also really like the yellow light reflecting off of his skin ! Yay for loosening of ties ! Haha it wasn't so late. I totally understand the shcool stuff finals are coming soon so I'm in the same boat haha.
GAAHH!! So Awesome!!! x333 hahaha he looks soooo smug XD I love that expression and the lighting so much and everything is really neat!
hahaha its like Elliot's evil twin or something heh and its truly amazing!
Favourite part - The lighting in the eye..like an evil glint XD

Ann: "That would be the Bible."
Haha, thanks! The hair was fun, and the lighting on the face - the thing about cell shading that always gets me is big chunks of skin, like arms and legs -_- it always looks so dumb. And yeah... I didn't know what to do with that arm, and the hand was hard to do (for loosening the tie), but it turned out okay! Thanks for ing him Yessss...finals >.< Ugh. Summer come fast!

That smirk is so gosh darn cute! X3
I really love his overall pose. He looks so cocky and like you said, smarmy ladies man all the way. XD The way he's undoing his tie is a cute touch. The coloring is pretty cool. I like the high contrast between the purple shadows and yellow highlights.

haha, aww, thank you so much! you leave such nice comments I'm glad he looks the way I intended...and the high contrast was fun, although I like doing cell-shading on more detailed parts, like faces, so things like arms or bare legs get to me >.<
