Wow...manga/anime is it's own big category now? That's...weird. First, an apology to my fellow jammers - I'd become absolutely obsessed with this drawing, and I needed to finish it, so there we go.
Anyway, wow. I don't know if I've ever been so anal when it came to cleaning up a picture in my LIFE. Seriously. This took forever. My hand hurts...and it's not even like, super-crazy detailed! But...the little coins, and the hair, and cloth folds and...everything. It just took a really long time. Sorry it's kind of big, but I wanted everything to be seen - even at this size some stuff gets lost, so if people want a much higher res version (to color or...look at or something, haha I dunno), just ask. So Ranjit - which means something like charming/victorious, and is Sanskirt/Punjabi - is some sort of mix of Hindu/Sikh/Japanese Demon/Deity or...something. Yeah.
Personality wise, he's sort of cold/reserved and arrogant/prideful, and super intelligent (in an intimidating haughty way usually, but in private in a dorky - if creepy - way; he gets obsessed with obscure facts and data and cataloguing things, even if it's people he's eaten or whatever). But...he's the sort of character I'd love, especially if he liked someone and they were the only person who could make him go all silly and mopey and blushy I'm dumb, I know.
He has three tattoos - a "horned god" on his back, the "trisula" on his right arm and the "khanda" on his left...I don't remember quite, but I think they're all various horned gods, which I used since...he has horns. He has toe rings, and goes barefoot, aaand, I'm thinking one eye is black and one is gold, and his hair is blue/black and he's tan, with sort of...deserty colored clothes (tans, oranges, reds, yellows), but if anybody has color suggestions, do tell Oh, and I know his arms are a little short...I might try and lengthen them some. But any other critique is definitely welcome too!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
