As an explanation for all the pictures as opposed to drawings for the moment: I was in China for three weeks this summer on a program in Beijing, Luoyang, Xian, Shaolin and Hohot (Inner Mongolia), and for nearly the first time in my life I was taking pictures! (Usually my sister is the picture taker for our family ) So! First attempts at photography with crappy camera, here we go!
This was a hallway in the same temple as the roof picture - teeechnically we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the buildings there...but the monk had just gone around the corner, soooo, what he doesn't know shouldn't hurt him.
