Ugh. So I really liked this drawing, but it got kind of destroyed in the storage/photograph/getting it onto the computer process. It's way way grainier than it is in real life, and you can't see a lot of the more delicate shading, particularly on the hands, and things like freckles.
Anyway, Drawing homework assignment - based on some sketches we did over spring break, we were supposed to draw a friend from life; unfortunately, Lucy was at home, and I really wanted to do this, so I used a photograph as a frame of reference for the sketch, and then went from there with mi imaginacion. It definitely doesn't look exactly like the photo, but I think it looks fairly like my sister -
The hand holding the bowl was HARD. Her proportions are a little off....but I'm pretty good about how the face came out, I think.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I like it. I think the hand holding the bowl is one of the best parts actually. I'm afraid the other hand looks a little bit too big though.
